GETTING THE BIZ’NESS
This three-hour “how to” seminar is led by Agent B. Lynne Jebens from the Krasny Office. Ask any question you ever had about getting your career on track. Lynne will cover info on Headshots & resumes, cover letters, the interview process and how to find work.
INDUSTRY
NIGHT
In the final lesson of our “Intro To Commercials” course casting director SHIRLEY SENDER will conduct a class that gives the students an idea of what commercial auditioning is all about. Following a question & answer session with the class, she will distribute copy, and simulate a casting session.
COMMERCIAL PRINT
AGENTS SEMINAR
Offered several times a year. Commercial Print is the advertising you see in magazines, billboards, product boxes and the internet.
Print is a perfect addition to on-camera commercial work and it’s easily accessible to newcomers who don’t have a lot of experience.
COMMERCIAL AGENTS
SHOWCASE
Offered three times a year (November, March and June). To qualify, actors must have completed the Advanced Commercial Course and qualified at the Showcase Auditions. The audition is an interview/reading for two commercial agents. Actors are scored on talent, marketability, and preparation for the business. Those with the highest scores are invited to participate.
The Showcase consists of private interview auditions with ten top commercial agents.
FILM & TELEVISION SHOWCASE
Offered only twice a year (January and June). This six-evening scene/monologue night
is the most prestigious program WB offers. To participate, actors must complete any Film/Soap Primetime or Audition courses, been recommended by their instructors, and then be selected. Because this is such a large
undertaking, the auditions are held at least one month in advance of the showcase. Twenty actors are selected to perform a prepared scene and monologue. Twelve agents and casting directors are invited by the school to attend (two per performance). The show is also open to the public.
GROUNDWORKS
SHOWCASE
Twice
a year (August & December) WB Acting Instructor DAVID SHUMAN produces a
five-evening scene & monologue presentation with actors from his level
II classes.
The
showcase is a separate event from his on-going classes.
Industry
guests are booked for each evening and the performance is open to the
public.
JEFFREY
ZEINER’S WORKSHOP PRESENTATION
Twice
a year (April & November) Instructor JEFFREY ZEINER produces a
four-evening scene showcase with actors from his level II classes.
The
showcase is a separate event from his on-going classes.
Industry
guests are booked for each evening and the performance is open to the
public.
THE SUPPORT GROUP
(WB Supporting your career)
Continuing industry evenings for alumni only. Open only to actors coming from other WB Showcase Programs. Enables actors to continue meeting professional guests
one-on-one without committing to a long-term program. We consider this the best way for actors to continue marketing themselves.
Although there is a fee for
All WB Showcase programs,
there is never a charge to audition.
